This August at The Gallery in the Valley, help us craft some local lore. "Strange Summer: The Cryptid Show" invites local artists to bring to life cryptids inspired by the Genesee Valley.

We'll celebrate the efforts of participating artists with an Art Party on Friday, August 9th at 6pm where you'll get to meet the cryptids and the artists that created them.

Then, help us choose a cryptid: which of these creatures do you think is the best otherworldly representative for our region? Read up on origin stories and cast your vote for your favorite cryptid in-store during the entire month of August.

The winning cryptid will become a mascot for the region and The Gallery will work with the winning artist to develop a line of fun kitschy memorabilia featuring the chosen creature.
